Happy birthday, Toben. I love you!
It's fun to think that I've celebrated half of his birthdays with him--since we started dating in high school, we've been together for half of our lives now. Young love...
Kristen invited us all over for dinner (and I didn't take any pictures--I get out of the habit and just plain forget). We ate spaghetti, sat outside and sang "Happy Birthday", and ate ice cream sandwiches. I love going to someone else's house for dinner, but it's hard on a school night. By the time we got home, the kids rushed through showers and teeth brushing to end up in bed an hour past bedtime. I think I'll let them sleep in some in the morning. (We generally get up much earlier than needed; I like to have time to slowly wake up and not run around like crazy before school).
I met Janna earlier this afternoon at Denver Fabrics--wow! What a great store. We looked at fabric for two hours and could have looked some more. I got a great pattern to make Ava a little dress and some fun fabric for a Christmas project. We talked about project ideas and had fun bouncing ideas back and forth. I'm definitely ready to get my sewing machine unpacked and start crafting and decorating our new house.
For now, though, I'm off to go hang out with the birthday boy.
Happy birthday, Mr. Simplewife. Very lovely photo. David and I have celebrated over half our birthdays together too - we were also high school sweethearts. It's a crazy thing isn't it?
