Last night Toben and I went to see "Swing" at the Country Dinner Playhouse; Mom and Dad gave us tickets for his birthday.
This muscial doesn't really have a storyline, but is all singing and dancing. Mom and Dad told us to get some dance ideas for when we all go on a cruise together over Christmas; but unless I lose some weight and about five inches of height, I don't think Toben will be throwing me all over and under like we saw last night!
The dancing was incredible and I would love to learn how to swing--albeit in less acrobatic way!
We've been going to the Country Dinner Playhouse here in Denver for a long time--and everything we've seen there has been wonderful. They're going to do "Guys and Dolls" and "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers" next spring/summer, so we'll definitely be going again soon. I'd love to take the girls to "Seven Brides..." since they know the musical already.
My parents took Kristen and I to the theater a lot when we were kids--especially after we moved to England. We saw lots of community theater locally, and would spend weekends in London going to shows--matinee on Saturday, evening performance that night, church Sunday morning, maybe another matinee and the train back home.
Everyone's up this morning...I'm off to go make eggs and pancakes before we head to the zoo!
Sounds like a fun day planned.
I love to swing dance, and you don't have to thrown in the air to have a good time.
The only unfortunate part to me liking to dance is the fact that Aaron can only do the "white man's overbite" and he's not even good at that one.
