I agree completely! We lived in a cozy 1930's house in Cincinnati and rehab-ed the attic into a living space (which was completed days before we moved back down to FL). We never spent a night in the master suite that took us over a year to complete! But I did gain a new appreciation for quality materials that stand up to time vs. something that is just pretty. The majority of the house was original (woodwork, tile, windows) and was very well taken care of. I am glad we did the same and left it for someone else to call home.


You should post a picture of the kitchen so we can check out those ovens!


You're amazing! Good for you on your creativity. It's so much more rewarding to reconfigure something we already have isn't it? I just figured out I could comment on your blog! Duh?! I'm new to the whole "blog" thing...very cool. Like I've said before, you're writing is truly a gift from God.
