Our wise man traveled all the way to California for the girls this morning. I'm so glad I brought all of this on our trip. Last year was the first year that we really celebrated Advent and I was so excited to do it again this year...especially with more things to involve the girls. I would have been really sad to miss these ten days while we're gone.

We had dinner tonight with a bunch of friends, and as Brenda said, it was just like we never left. The fifteen of us sat around a long table at Buca di Beppo and laughed and talked and shook our heads at all the girls (six of them) who were just so happy to be together again.
I really miss this sense of belonging.
At the same time, I was happy to realize that in talking about our life in Colorado that I am making some new friends and starting to feel like Denver is home.
I'm meeting a bumch of women for coffee tomorrow morning at my very favorite coffee place in the whole wide world (except, maybe, for Angelina's on the Rue de Rivoli in Paris--but, then again, that's really more of a place for hot chocolate!)--Pannikin in Leucadia. Then I'm taking the girls to their old school for lunch. I'm excited to see all my little Brownies and their moms and whoever else I happen to run into.
Tomorrow night is Toben's Christmas party--prom theme. I decided against my senior prom dress (yes, I still have it!) and to wear a dress I'm taking on the cruise. I'll have to be sure to get a prom picture of the two of us tomorrow. It would be fun to get it framed and put it with this one...my senior prom from 1990...since Toben was my date for that one too!
LOL! I can't believe you posted our prom photo! That was like 16 years and 60 pounds (for me) ago. I can't believe how young we looked, and how skinny I was. And my hair! Oh my gosh...
