So here's prom 15 years later:
We made it through the evening, despite not having had any sleep the night before. Emma's come down with a tummy bug and spent the entire night throwing up. And then we got back late last night to find Audrey sick with the same thing...throwing up all night long.
So now we're getting packed up to drive to LA to get on the cruise ship. Toben's going to get Big Gulp cups for the kids to throw up in on the way, and once we get on board we're all going into quarantine.
Emma hasn't eaten for three days now, I'm not eating for fear of catching it, and let me just say a HUGE thank you to Aunt Susan who's had to deal with more than her fair share of throwing up--on her couch, in her bed.
We've got less than an hour to get packed, get cleaned, clean up, and get on the road, so I've gotta go. I'm expecting internet access on the cruise ship so there may be more tonight. I'm hoping for miraculous healings...
The photos are great. You look beautiful in both photos(there isn't much different in the two, I have to say). Sorry the children are sick. I will say a prayer that it passes and you can all enjoy the cruise vs. quarantine!

Hi, Joanne. I'm Marla. Nice to meet you. :) Just wanted you to know that I prayed for your girlies just now and will keep praying whenever they come to mind. I feel like I know them after reading Living Simply, which I just finished yesterday. :) Long story short, I just signed on with Bill a couple months ago. He sent me your Simple Wife proposal to get an idea for my next one, I devoured it, bought the book the next day, and about peed my pants every time I read something else we have in common. (except that I don't knit, could never be a ballet dancer, and am not opposed to an occasional trip to Chuck E. Cheese) :) The icing on the cake was your H.S. prom pic--my husband Gabe looked JUST LIKE Toben when he was a senior in high school. Uncanny. Talk to you soon! Enjoy your cruise!
