Hi. Great point and one I have thought of it often, but I always think of the teenage years being the time they develop their own lives. I guess it really does happen sooner. Just another reason why I should enjoy each day now.


as much as i don't look forward to no longer being the center of my boys' lives, i *do not* want to hear any stories about how parenting gets harder and hander. gah!

Something I struggle with is trying to find a balance between being there (mentally) with my kids after school and getting chores done. I know the chores will always be there but my kids wont. There will come a time when my kids won't want to spend time with me... gulp! I need to learn to let stuff slide and give my kids my undivided attention. Or like you suggested, let them help out with the chores!
