Out of the blue, my friend Marla sent our family a package. Look what was inside to go on our fridge... (sorry it's so blurry)
...and she says she's not crafty. Thank you, Marla, you crafty girl you!

I spent the afternoon digging in the dirt...such fun. I planted herb seeds in my flower boxes, geraniums in pots outside my kitchen window, a pot of marigolds and one of petunias, and a huge barrel of mint. I also bought some raspberry and blackberry canes (I want to say canes--isn't that right?) to go along the back fence. But I need to do some major cleaning up back there before planting.
I'm also thinking about a playhouse for the backyard. I passed one today on my walk and my imagination just ran wild. Something makes me think that it might not happen, but I'm going to keep dreaming about it. I've always wanted a playhouse.
There are leaves coming out on all the trees and I'm just so thankful every time I step outside. I've missed them!
Tomorrow I'm going to order dirt for the garden...
You're so welcome, friend! I'll say it once more--peeling adhesive backing off magnets and sticking them to scrabble tiles does not equal crafty! But thanks for the compliment!
We're flower shopping on Thursday--can't wait! And we're turning our shed in the backyard into a playhouse. It's really nice and clean and little girl-ready. Gabe's dad is helping him cut holes for windows. I'm so excited! So are the girls!
I asked Livi and Ava if they'd like to go visit you guys sometime. Livi said yes. Ava said no, because it's toooooo looooooong to drive. When I told her we'd fly, she wanted to go today. She loves airplanes!

What a wonderful day!
I went and did some flower shopping today as well -- just the start. I got some lillies, lavendar, morning glories, and clematis. I won't buy my annuals for a couple more weeks -- in Wisconsin it still gets into the 30's at night until the end of May.
There is just something about getting your hands into the dirt that brings joy!

Cool scrabble pieces!
Guess what??? Your book was given away in a basket of goodies for a door prize tonight at V7! I was so excited to hear Joanne Heim...how much fun. I will have to order it...I love to read and am a pretty simple girl, but I know you will teach me something new.
Off to bed I go...
Love ya,
Holly

canes, yes!
and ooooo... a play house? make sure it's big enough for you to walk in so you can "play" in it after the girls are grown. ::wink, wink::

I read your post on LPM blog and you wanted to know the name of that wonderful song. It is called Lord You're Holy. It's on Travis Cottrell's CD called The Lamb Has Overcome. It is my all time favorite song. I could listen to it over and over. Actually I do! It sure brought us to our feet at the conference, didn't it?!!
