Here we go...three posts in one morning!
Now that it's summer, we're out and about and having lots of fun. We've been swimming nearly every day; the girls and Toben went to the movies yesterday while I spent time with my friend Emily; I've been to tea at Kimberly's house (lovely and delicious and so fun to sit on someone else's couch and talk for an afternoon while the rain poured outside); we've played some tennis; we've had lunches outside; we've sat on the edge of the deck eating cherries and seeing who could spit the pit the longest...and we're not even one week into summer vacation!
Toben's taking much of the summer off and it's great to hang out as a family. Since we didn't have a summer last year with packing and moving and business trips and such, we're really, really excited about these next few months.
The girls are up--time to make some breakfast.
How very wonderful! The pictures, the skirt, friends and time with family--stuff that makes life a blessing!
Thanks for your prayers, Joanne. I'm still waiting for a call, and I have tried to be productive, but it seems like I'm getting stuck. So off I go for a quiet time and some afternoon resting and reading (maybe folding and getting dinner prepped). I look forward to getting together soon...bet I can spit a cherry pit farther :)
With Joy,
Holly

Wow--your summer days are inspiring! I'm going to try to soak up each minute before girlie #2 starts school in the fall!

Sounds like you are having a great summer. I am still counting down the days until my vacation starts. I have the list of projects that I want to tackle. It always amazes me that I just get into my summer groove and then it is over and school is starting again.
The skirt is really cute and I am totally jealous of all that yummy fabric. I think that I am going to make one of the book covers from your tutorial while I am on vacation. I got the cutest pink fabric with multi-colored pastel polka dots.
Now it is off to bed with me. Tomorrow morning I am serving at a the June Dairy breakfast before I go into work. Each little Wisconsin town has a Dairy Breakfast -- ours is at the Agricultural Research Station. It starts at 4am -- can you say "OH MY GOODNESS THAT'S EARLY!" and ends at 9am. I am assigned to scoop vanilla ice cream to servie with fresh strawberries. Last year I had the cream puff station -- I think that I ate as many as I served. Hmmm, could that be why I'm not at that station this year?
