We played mini-golf last night at Sugar Creek--the prettiest put-put anywhere.
During the day Mom, Kristen, and I went treasure hunting, but were sad that our favorite antique place has gone out of business. Found some old strawberry baskets and a vintage Trixie Belden for my collection, though.
Then we floated around the pool for much of the afternoon.
Spent today on the water again...this is the life!
We skied and floated around and then came back to spend more time floating around the pool with a book on the big green raft. Ahh...
Ok, so I just tried to make a coconut cake with filling and icing. I ate some. Now I feel very much over-sugared...a sugar coma is coming! And then I see how very lovely you look in your bathing suit--for heaven's sake! Maybe I'll just fast until our vacation :)
So glad you all are having fun! The put-put looks like fun and is so pretty. What a great backdrop for your picture together. Praying for you to keep on having fun in the sun!!
Love,
holly

so much fun! i love the putt-putt place.
hey, if you all are looking for a distraction on the drive home, there's a really fun putt-putt place in independence (kansas city) missouri. it's on exit for highway 40 and it's called cool crest. not as pretty as that one, but really, really fun, especially if you like putt-putting a lot!

What a wonderful time with family.... and that mini-golf course certainly looks beautiful!
Trixie Belden brings back memories. A friend of mine, in grade school, loved Trixie Belden books so she started a Bob-White club during our playground time!

OK - I am just POSITIVE I played mini golf there as a kid. It looks so familiar -- somewhere really like it anyway. We did the Ozarks thing many times on quick family trips from KC. Oh my - look at all the fun you are having -- all these posts are great.
I love your sewing (esp. that retro dress you made for yourself -- you look great in it!) and the pinky quilt.
And thanks for those book recommendations - they look right up my alley right now.

I love Trixie Belden. I read the whole series one summer. I have already bought my daughter the first 3 in the series. I hope she loves them as much as I do.
