Janna came over the other day to craft and hang out at the pool. We embellished some clothes that were too plain with some fun applique.
Here's what I came up with for fall:
The skirt came from the Banana Republic outlet last fall for about $4 and was a great, basic skirt but a little plain; the scraps came from my stash. I'm liking it a lot more now!
very cute!

Hi Joanne - I have followed your blog here and there and love your ideas. We did the letter for my girls' room and followed your bun instructions for my daughter's First Communion. I've had a busy life here but with my grandparents' returning to CA after a few month stay, I feel I have time to do some fun things - not too complicated -- and I'm pulling out my sewing machine to start trying my hand to join seamstresses out there. I first heard you on WMBI in Chicago and wanted to say "thanks" for sharing! God Bless!

Hi Joanne - very cute skirt. Funny that this is your post today seeing as I was attempting to emblish a t-shirt for one of the girls this afternoon. Mine did not turn out so cute!

P.S. Thanks for the tips on shirring. I'm still shell-shocked and not ready to try and make friends with the technique just yet!!
