Amy @ By His Grace

We finished Stepping Up right before Christmas. The "pilgrimage" I made over the course of that study is too much for words. I've encountered some valleys in my life in the last few weeks and I truly believe that God had me to that study a few months ago to help me through this time. My pilgrimage has increased my faith 10 fold and I have so much peace in knowing that God is my Father and is guiding me through life. Godspeed my friend and keep us posted on how it is going!

what a wonderful prayer, and it is so mine also. i help my children memorize, and they do it so effortlessly, and retain it so well with little prompting. oh how I wish I could too. I try. And my love for the scriptures, and yearning to know the Lord grows deeper each day , growing along with the growth of all the responsibilities that come with being a wife and mother. The more I learn the more I long to know, and the more I know, the more I realize that I don't know. Great post! Thanks Joanne

As Jan Karon so eloquently says in her Mitfod novels, "It's the prayer that never fails--Thy will be done." I have been thinking about that just this morning, and it doesn't mean God's gonna do what He wants to do. I have been thinking it means just what you have said--pray to know Him, to know His word, to engage in the journey He has for each of us a step at a time--that's His will.

'Can't wait to hear about more of your study, Joanne. Also, I have my knitting needles and yarn--so very excited!! :)

Before I started Stepping Up I was reading Rachel's blog at and participating in her "Small Things" campaign. The verse for February was Ps 84:5 (pilgrimage) and she designed a beautiful pdf file that you can print - I even framed mine. It was so inspiring to see that a week later, Beth Moore was saying the SAME things to me! God is amazing - each day of this study has been a homerun in my life.

I've truly loved these last 2 weeks getting into The Word and falling prostrate before God. Life Changing!

Hey Joanne! I'm relatively new here, and I love your site. Thanks especially for the word on comparing yourself to others... that's real comforting. God Bless You! And your book is on my wish list. ;)
