"This is what the Heim family mostly does: Sit around in our pajamas and knit!"
Well, we do a lot of other stuff too, but that's what we're up to this morning.
Poor Audrey still isn't feeling great and when we finally thought to take her temp last night it was 102+. She's coughing and running a fever again this morning; Emma's sniffly, and so we're not going to church. Audrey will be home from school tomorrow (school policy means no going to school if you've had a fever within 24 hours) and we're all going to rest today.
So Audrey's watching Disney and working on getting lots of fluids in, Toben's reading the paper, and Emma and I are camped out on the couch in our pjs, knitting and listening to some Chris Tomlin and Kirk Franklin and everyone else on my iPod.
Wishing you all a happy and HEALTHY Sunday!
What is Emma making? Is she purling already? She is so adorable.

I'm so jealous! I want to learn to knit! I'm hoping I can do that soon. I need to finish the simplifying first...then I'll feel like I have time to devote to learning a new craft.

Ah knitting! What's your girl knitting in that picture?

I'm all smiles at your little girl knitting! Not smiling that she's sick. Hope that goes away soon! But, I find it just too cute! All I did when I was sick, was flip through day time tv (yuk) and sip Sprite and chicken soup. How cool to have a hand project to busy your mind, when the body is so... bla.
I haven't been here for a while so I caught up on a few posts, and really I'm all smiley because of your post about your house being all a mess. I met you when you stopped by my blog and gave me like the best and sweetest encouragement when I was super crazy over life after baby and my always messy house. Talk about a wise word in due season! You've been forever endeared to me since!
Ironic that I come back and you're rocking in that boat. Here's hoping you enjoyed the time off to spend in just-Mommy land. I know you'll be back in full swing soon! I agree with the posts of you friends... keepin' real just keeps it real! Strange how someone's down time or weak time encourages others.
I once took my oldest to a friends house on a bad day... in her pjs! I was so tired and frustrated when she called... she said, my house is dirty and the kids aren't dressed yet, but come over just like you are and we'll let them play, we'll share a late breakfast, and just talk for a bit. I was in shock when she said that! It took a crumby day and my worn out attitude and turned it around to be a very cool day indeed.
So... here's to encouragement by sharing the trials! :)
