Joanne! We had similar days yesterday! After lunch we went to Sonic for lemon-berry slushes and then hit Home Depot for flowers. (Did yours have any vinca vines? Mine didn't.) Then we came home and got a start on planting and might finish today.

I love this time of year!

Way to go on working and getting so much done! Yay, God!

You were praying for me (at the end of your post)! Thanks--how I need it today!

Sounds lovely! I fear we're already past the open window day and nights here in central Texas. We set record highs yesterday - the thermometer on my truck read 101 at the peak of the heat. Not a good sign if summer follows suit!

Don't forget the fresh lemonade for your lunch!

Thanks for the prayer Joanne...I needed to read that. I'm having my tonsils out in a few weeks and it's something that has brought me a lot of fear. He does make up for our weaknesses, even fear!
Have a blessed day!

Thanks a lot for your beautiful words Joanne. I know each one of us can do with some gentle thoughts.
Its getting really hot here in Dallas..but the evenings are pleasant. I like to sit by the pool and watch small girls (who can barely walk) wearing their cute swim suits, sitting in their air boats. I did not know there where so so many shapes available of toy boats.

Praying for happiness to everyone.

Susan

I love your inclusive spirit:). I wish you were speaking in Chicagoland sometime soon... I'd love to hear you!

Hi. I read your blog regularly but I'm not usually a commenter. Until I read the last paragraph. Thank you for sending out that prayer ... I read it at a moment of sadness dealing with my mom's illness and realizing she'll be leaving us much sooner that we all want. That's what I'm dealing with ... WITH GOD.
God bless you for all that you do ... and always remembering us.

I am envious that school is done for you this week. We aren't done until June 5th -- not too much longer.

We are planning to plant our garden this weekend. Last night we had a patchy frost advisory -- I don't think it did get frosty though. I think I'll take my chances -- long weekends are few and far between. If I don't plant the gardent this weekend, then it could be awhile.

I was in South Carolina for the past 2 days. The temperatures were in the 80's and 90's. That was so refreshing and beautiful. Ahhh, about another 3 weeks and it will be that warm here too.
