Now that Christmas is past and all the gifts have been mailed and opened, I can share what I made for some girlfriends for Christmas. A girl can’t have too many little zippy purses in my opinion (ipod, tissues, lipsticks, giftcards—the possibilities are endless!) and a monogram makes it even better. Plus, most of these are lined with vintage hankies that have been sitting in a drawer for a year or two waiting for inspiration to strike.
Of course, I think of someone new I should have made one for just about every single day...so I may be making them again next year! And, really, I wish I had the time, money, and steel fingers required to make one for every single one of you!
Very pretty and practical!

I second Holly. Those are really beautiful, Joanne! By the way, I'm so sorry I didn't send you a Christmas card. Too many school stuff to keep up with. I'm terribly sorry! I'll make it a point to send one next year!!

Very pretty! did you embroider the initials by hand or machine?

Wow! Where can I learn to make those? :-) They are beautiful and what a great gift idea. Honestly, is there a pattern you can point me towards so I can make a zippie purse or two?--(if they have a Sewing for Dummies book, I would be a strong candidate for it).
Merry Christmas!

You should think about selling these on your blog. I would definitely love one (or two or three!). They are really cute.
