I can't even begin to say how much your comments have meant to me. Thank you so much for your love and encouragement and prayers. What an amazing gift you are to me.
How often do we not receive because we do not ask? All too often I think we wait around, expecting others to realize our needs and then rush in to meet them. And then we are disappointed.
And while God does put others on our hearts at just the right moment, how much more we receive when we admit our need and ask.
Do you have need of encouragement? Of prayer? Of friendship? Ask!
I'd love to sit here (with Pumpkin on my lap purring away madly and watching the computer screen--yes, I have a picture and will post it later) but Toben is out of town and we have four or five inches of snow that need to be shoveled off the driveway before I take the girls to school.
Not the snow day I'd hoped for! Which included no school, lots of hot chocolate, and finishing off the Rocky Road fudge my friend Yvette made for us. Instead it will include driving on icy roads, more laundry, and who knows what else. I suppose I could always eat the fudge alone.
Gotta go find my mittens...
Glad you were encouraged by others. I have to say - the scene you described sounds wonderful to me - the snow, the hot chocolate, aahhhh. My idea of perfect. Down here in the deep south, where we never see snow, I'd trade with you and even shovel your sidewalks! (For a little while anyway!)

Hi JoAnn - I wanted to leave a comment to say hi and to "introduce" myself. I am Erin Leyba's sister in law and have been reading your blog for a few month now. I never post, but am always inspired by you. Your faith, your craftiness, your family! Anyway, my thoughts and prayers are with you (for previous post). Have a wonderful day.
