So it's Monday morning on spring break week for me. (The girls have spring break next week, which is actually going to work out okay.) And while I wish this was what I was doing this week:
(Ahh...I love Kaui!)
Or even this:
(I haven't touched my machine since I started seminary!)
Instead, I will be doing this:
And dealing with this pile on my desk:
(Sorry for all those blurry photos, let's hope my thinking is a bit clearer!)
I'm going to tackle some papers and get lots of reading done for the second half of the semester. And speak at chapel at the girls' school on Thursday morning. And get my hair cut. And go shopping on Friday with my mother as a reward for doing all that other stuff.
And in order to do that, I'm going to uplug. Not the whole computer, since I need that to write papers and do research. But I am going to take a blogging break for the next week. And a Facebook break. And a break from my Google reader.
I'd appreciate your prayers--for clear and critical thinking, for discipline to use my time wisely, for good communication with the kids on Thursday morning. And I'll be back in a week!
Great discipline! I'll miss you, though!

Take the time you need! Please don't be so hard on yourself(post below about Memory Monday) I am working from home today and realized that I too am pushing myself way too much. I just decided to take a break do my memory monday and check in on you. I will keep you and your Dh in my prayers. Actually prior to your post about requesting prayers I had included the two of you. Hugs and love and PLEASE enjoy spring break. :)

I am new to your blog, after reading your wonderful Simple Life. I have so many pages earmarked, it would be easier to count the ones not turned down! I've bought several for gifts in the future and will begin going over it with my 17 yo daughter! Can you tell that I was impressed?
Have a wonderful Spring Break and remember those principles of which you wrote!! I will continue to check in with you to see how seminary is going. That has always been a secret dream of mine!

Have a nice clear thinking, good reading week! If I had a whole week to do such things, I fear I would waste time. I have many leisurely days - just me and my 3 yr. old, while my older two are in school. Many days it will near noon, and I will still be in my PJ's and I will think, WHAT have I done today. I need to snap out of that!

Enjoy your study break. I hope you get a lot out of it. Sometimes you really do need to unplug from everything and go into your own little world!
I'm in my last year of studying for my primary school teaching degree and told everyone that I'd be hibernating this year!
Good luck. I'll miss your updates though!
