Isaiah 49:16 says we are engraved on the palm of God's hand--a verse I've always loved for its poignant imagery.
Saw this idea at my friend Wendy's yesterday and knew instantly this was something I wanted to do today. So I sent the girls off to school with the message that Jesus died on the cross for them--for the whole world, yes--but for Audrey, for Emma. He has engraved them on his palms out of love.
Love greater than we can imagine.
Wishing you a Good Friday, one in which you know for certain that Jesus died out of love for you and that your name is written on his hands.
I'm totally doing this with the girls. Thank you! Bless you, friend!

Ok, I'm totally adding this to the weekend! I've been e-mailing out your link so other friends can make the Easter Story Cookies. Have a great and reflective Good Friday!

I saw this too on your twitter link. Did it with my three kids and husband this AM after watching the Story Keeper Easter DVD (Focus on the Family. Another way to get little hearts and mind wrapped around a huge truth. Thanks.
