So if my sad little Indian isn't enough, we have some otters living in the backyard. Otters? In the desert? (Oops--typed "dessert" the first time. Must be hungry!)
These little guys play on the fountain on the patio. Which we have not filled--and probably won't until October. Because I'm sure the water would evaporate as it left the hose.
These last two are over in the corner of the yard under a cactus, wishing they could spash in the make-believe water too. But at least they have some abalone to munch on...
Something tells me these five little rascals will need names too...but they may have to wait until it's actually cool enough to hang out back there and get to know them. For now, we're staying inside where it's cool!
Really, if you think about it--they are perfect!!!! They'll have so much company with all the Otter Pops you'll be eating!!!!!!!

Oh my goodness, I'm groaning at your screen door and animal friends--they're so stereotypical of AZ--but I'm here to tell you that not all of us desert dwellers are into Native American art and gravel front yards (ok, so the house I live in right now does have desert landscaping in the front, but not that bright pink stuff and we don't have any cacti). Anyway, it's fun to see photos of your new house--it's looking great. I'm amazed at how fast you get settled!! I guess it comes from all that moving, huh?

They are so cute! They could be named kiwi, sunburst or ginger, cherry or ruby, violet or plum. That way they'd feel right at home while your eating your Otter Pops!
