I didn't really pick my verse until the middle of last week, and I haven't quite got it down yet. But even as I type that, I think to myself, You could have learned it anyway! True. Let's be honest, with some work, I could learn a verse a day if I really made it a priority. I've become a little bit lazy about this and want to get cracking again!
Here's what I'm learning:
But the woman
who looks intently
into the perfect law that gives freedom,
and continues to do this,
not forgetting what she has heard,
but doing it--
she will be blessed in what she does. (James 1:25)
Yes, the lines are broken funny--on purpose. I realize that I'm a visual learner and it helps me to put things in bold, to divide the lines up into specific chunks. That way I can "see" it in my head.
So I will be "looking intently" at my verse over the next few days to cement it in my brain.
And then...I'm feeling like what I've learned isn't sticking with me the way I'd like. That I need to take some time to review all I've learned since we began doing Memory Monday.
How about you? Are you retaining what you learn? What's working for you? Not working?
