Check this list out :) It is a pad that is magnetic, so it goes on your fridge. It is ordered how the store groups things and I just check stuff off or add in the blank spaces as the week goes on. I love this thing and you can get them at Target in the office/school supply area!

Miss you!

Last weekend I actually made 2 weeks worth of menus and a corresponding grocery list. I've tried this a couple of times before and never seem to stick to the menu I've created. Things come up, I'm exhausted from work and don't want to cook, forget to thaw things....but this week we've managed to stick to it. I'm so excited! I spent A LOT at the grocery store but some things were bulk items so I'm hoping that next weekend when I go it won't be so bad. I'm shooting for doing this 2 weeks at a time. We'll see how it goes. I think I'm probably still saving money though since we haven't ordered pizza or gone out to eat all week. I know we've had better family conversations and eaten healthier.

The don't shop when you're hungry is so important....and maybe should be added...don't take a hungry spouse...hahaha!

And don't take your kids! I always spend more when my girl is with me.

I've just gotten back into the menu planning and grocery list habit. It takes me a while to plan everything (I menu plan by the sales), but it's well worth it in the long run.

I haven't commented in a while and just wanted to tell you that I am really enjoying reading about your homeschool-year adventures. I am so happy for you that it is all going well and you are all adjusting to the move.

I made a long grocery list this morning and sent dear hubby and the kiddies off to the store. We are sticking to the menu planning and it has really paid off on our grocery bills. I just got back from a 4 mile run. It's my birthday weekend, so I get to do what I want and spend a little me time.

We are so horrible. I never stick to my list, and I rarely plan meals. I just try to keep what I need on hand for meals, and whatever I feel like cooking (or eating), I make. I try to always have chicken breasts a little steak, veggies, and such - so that I always have a meal to make. We are very spur of the moment eaters/shoppers - which costs us much more money that way.

I love that app! It's so hard to make a do you all manage? I have been having a very hard time figuring out food quantity for my husband and I. I am used to cook a lot as I come from a big family, and then all these years hubby and I work all day and go to school full time so, shame on us, we eat out a lot which we've been trying to cut...Help! any tips?
Thank you.
