After we're done with school today (and washing sheets and towels in between subjects), it's the weekend! Hooray!
Some new friends are coming to hang out the pool tonight. They have three girls and two of them line up with my two, so I'm excited for the girls to meet them.
Audrey and Emma have really become each other's best friend in the weeks that we've been here. They're together all the time, each other's only classmate, and are finally figuring out that life is more fun if they make the choice to get along.
(Did you hear that? It's the Hallelujah Chorus being sung by angels in the background!)
I do need to get some menus planned and groceries bought. I may even go later this afternoon or later tonight by myself in order to have it done before the weekend really starts tomorrow morning. I mentioned last weekend that our weekends have become kinda full with being at church so much (which I do love!), but to have a full Saturday and then a full Sunday just isn't very restful.
I need to make some cupcakes for my Sunday school class tomorrow too. It's the fourth Sunday of the month and if they can say their Bible verse, they get a prize. One boy asked for video games as prizes, but I think cupcakes will have to suffice. With lots of frosting.
I'm going to be sewing too. I made some bedding for some friends who are right now in Utah waiting for their son to be born. So exciting. You can read their story here. The girls and I stopped by last week to fit the bumpers to their crib and they need some adjusting to fit just perfectly. So I need to rip out some seams, add some new ones, and get the ties in place.
By the way, their nursery is the coolest nursery ever. It's looks like it belongs in a West Elm catalog. I'll have to get some pictures to show you the bedding when it's all done and set up.
Other than that, I'm going to clean house and get ready to celebrate Toben's birthday on Sunday and then head to the airport to
SEE MY MOM!
What're you up to this weekend? Anything fun?
Have fun with your Mom! Do you have a yummy chocolate frosting recipe?

Girls' Night Out tonight. Then not much else in store, other than the usual Saturday chores.

My husband lost his job in May and is still unemployed, but has started his own "microbakery". He made pies all day today. Tomorrow morning we sell them at the local farmer's market. I'm praying we sell them all w/i the first two hours - so we can come home and sleep.
Peace,

We're spending the weekend working on putting up some shelves in the office (MUCH needed) and just hanging out as a family. Oh, and in addition to homeschooling my kiddos, I get to teach middle school American history to our neighbor's (the one you know!) girls... I am so excited you would not believe it. So I'm spending quite a bit of time this weekend getting some prep work done, and basically reorganizing the entire teacher's manual (from a publishing company that will remain nameless; the manual is really, really poorly organized). Yes, I know I'm a nerd. :)
