I am loving Priscilla Shirer's He Speaks to Me. Loving it.
And after last night's video session (on set-apart holiness), I love it even more. Because it was challenging. Because it was hard to hear. Because God spoke to me and said, "You know what we're going to talk about this week, don't you?"
And I do know. I kinda feel like God called me by my middle name. You know..."Joanne Marie, I have something to say to you."
And while part of me is nervous, part of me is excited. Because here's the thing: I want to hear God speak. I want to position myself to listen. I want to get rid of things in my life that keep me from hearing his voice.
I want him to use me.
So bring it on.
Amen:)!

That is a great study.
It's a good nervous to hear God speak. He doesn't call me by my middle name, though. Whenever we're about to get serious, He says "Young Lady...(fill in the blank)." I love being called "Young Lady" :-)

I love being challenged by a bible study! Even if it gets a little scary!

So I need to add this one to the list of Studies I Need to Complete. I led our women's group through her "Discerning the Voice of God" in the fall, and it was goooood.

WOW, I have this book. Somehow I obtained free copy. I am going to pull it off of my shelf and hopefully read it soon.

For me, the most powerful sentence in this book is, "Fearing God means reverencing God’s Majesty and respecting His Power."

Amen! It's like only someone who really loves you calls you by your middle name -- Kathie Ann. Or Young Lady -- I love that! Holy Hugs!

This study rocked my world.. praying it continues to do the same with you. The key for me is intentional quiet to hear Him. Looks like you have that covered! :)

Oh He is using you!!! Fight the good fight of Faith and keep believing that He will heal you and KNOW that He is using you to help others to keep the Faith!
I try to read one old post every so often. One that God leads me to. But I have been praying for you since day one of the stroke, God placed on my heart heavily to pray hard for you in the first few weeks and still now! But I believe you will be so surprised at how God is using you when you recover completely!!
Our God is an awesome God!!!
