I've been gone all day--at my mom's house helping her rearrange some things and then grocery shopping here, there, and everywhere. (I always said I'd never be one of those women who shop at a gazillion different grocery stores, but here I am--with Costco left to tackle tomorrow. ::sigh::)
Anyway, I came across this verse in Jesus Lives the other day and it jumped off the page at me--because I so desperately want it to be true of me. Here's what it says:
He [God] testified concerning him: "I have found David son of Jesse a man after my own heart; he will do everything I want him to do." Acts 13:22
Wow.
WOW.
I'm going to memorize it this week (with a few changes!) and ask God to make it true of me. No matter what.
He testified concerning [her]:
"I have found Joanne a [woman] after my own heart;
[she] will do everything I want her to do." (Acts 13:22)
What are you memorizing this week and why? Leave a comment with a link (or just a comment if you're not a bloggy kind of a person) or click on the Memory Monday button in the sidebar to learn more.
I agree, Joanne:
Wow!
I had to go look up Acts 13:22 myself. It's inspiring yet scary at the same time. Do ALL of God's will? Yep, everything. I want to be that woman, too. Far from it though...
I'm re-memorizing 2 Corinthians 9:8, and posted about it here:
He pours in; we pour out
I'll think about you tomorrow when I'm at the grocery store, too. :-)
