I loved having my friend Ali come visit from Arizona at the end of July. And I'm so excited for my friend Christy to come at the end of September. It's important to me that my friends can picture where I am. Plus, I want my Arizona friends to see what my home REALLY looks like when it's mine. Our house in Arizona never really felt like home.
So here's a peek at home here. It's just a glimpse really, because even having seen pictures, things always look different in real life.
This is where the cats nap, all the chickens live, the quilts made by my great grandmothers are on display, the library books stay together, the set of Happy Hollister books are kept, we watch the rabbits out in the yard (that's Peanut Butter in the picture; his twin sister is Jelly and their mom is Francesca) out the window.
This is also where we'd sit and visit if you came over for a visit.
Looks like a great place to curl up with an afghan and a cup of coffee for a nice, long chat!

Your home is so comfy and looks so inviting and peaceful. I wish that when Holly had taken us by that day that you had been home. :) YOur couch looks so comfy....is it good for naps? ;)

Welcome (back) to Colorado, Joanne. I'm in the Springs. Just popped back into your blog after a while.
Your family room looks so peaceful! Are your bunnies your pets or are they wild ones who live in your yard?

I love your sofas. I've always liked that particular sofa. I love the floral cover too.
The chair book case is a wonderful idea.
An adorable cozy roomXX

I have some of the same books you do! I love the metal clippy thingy, and the stripy couches are calling me.
