So last week, here's what we learned:
Proverbs 31:30
Charm is deceptive,
and beauty is fleeting.
But a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.
I suppose it comes down to this: Charm can be faked, beauty fades. Fearing God is eternal.
We also learned this one:
1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins,
he is faithful and just
and will forgive us our sins
and purify us from all unrighteousness.
We're going to start work this week on Philippians 2:5-11. Something it will be much easier to memorize than actually do! But that, after all, is why we learn by heart--to put it into practice.
What are you learning by heart this week?
I'm learning to believe with expectation. Sooo hard to do sometimes. But God just won't let this go with me right now. Thinkin' He just might be up to somethin'! Learned my verses last week and will be starting fresh with the new ones today!

Joanne!
I LOVE that you coupled those two passages together...because without the freedom and forgiveness promised in the passage from 1st John, there is no way on EARTH that we, as women, could live up to the qualifications of the Proverbs 31 woman! God is SO good! I love studying the links between scriptures....and the more I think on the links, the more God's greatness blows my mind!
Our verse this week is SO simple, but our class at church is, after all, called "Home Builders"! But, sometimes the simplest of principles can be so easily forgotten...
Much love!
Jen
