Just had myself a right nice hissy fit and it was totally an accumulation of weeks of being irritated with my children and husband and instead of discussing it at the time, I held it in (it's THE HOLIDAYS after all) and then one simple little thing like the dog eating two pounds of lunch meat I just purchased while I was out helping the man, the same man who put the grocery bag on the floor in dogs reach by the way, that one little thing set me off big. So yeah, let's deal with things while they are little before they become ginormous.

I'll need multiple reminders, by the way.

This is my biggest end-of-year-next-year-will-be-better year. Dealing with betrayal, loss of trust, end of dreams and divorce. But OH WHAT JOY in knowing that my Abba Father has plans for me and will heal me and will do more in my life in 2011 than I can even fathom!

I feel like you're a friend because I read your blog ALWAYS. However, I comment next-to-never. So the feeling is probably a little, um, one-sided! However, I was making non-alcoholic sangria for our party tonight, and I'm pretty sure I stole the recipe from you after you posted the link. So I was thinking of you and yours. I came down here and found this super sweet blog. I'm pretty sure that our sisterhood in Christ sets us up for an eternity to get to know one another better. Happy New Year!

Hi Joanne,

I also don't comment as often as I read your lovely Blog. Just stopping by to thank you for your post yesterday and well.....all of them as a matter of fact:)

Thanks for being "real" and sharing your thoughts. My ten year old daughter and I struggle some days and it leaves me feeling raw. However, what you wrote about day and night has resonated with me all day. Yes.... Thankfully we can start fresh each morning and have a Savior that loves us despite the messes we find ourselves in.

Happy New Year!

I soooo love what you said about keeping short accounts, about not letting offences pile up but rather dealing with things as they arise (my paraphrase). I have been guilty of keeping quiet, pretending that words or actions didn't hurt...then turning cold toward a loved one. Why do I do that?
