Yes, my husband wants to write you an actual hand-written thank-you note and put it in the actual mail. The kind with envelopes and stamps.
My husband who has let me handle all the thank-you note writing ever since we got married 19 years ago and received 247 candlesticks, 319 Christmas platters, 462 picture frames, and one really large statue of Santa kneeling before the baby Jesus in his manger.
Yep, that guy.
My mother gave me your cookbook for Christmas and since then, I've made a huge batch of cinnamon rolls (that's when he first asked if he could write you a thank-you note), baked a pan full of comfort meatballs and mashed potatoes ("Now this is COMFORT food!"), and last night my daughter and I made the potato leek pizza ("This is the best pizza I ever had. Ever.")
Now I'm no kitchen lightweight--in fact I like to cook and cook good food often. But your cookbook is clearly speaking his food language. So thanks from me too--you're making me look like a rock star. And I'll go ahead and be honest and say I pretty much like that.
So as soon as I get your address, keep an eye out in your mailbox. There's a thank-you note coming your way. It'll be the envelope covered with splotches of meatball sauce or finger prints in bacon grease or perhaps a smear maple frosting.
I love this! I found your blog on the Siesta page this morning and when I clicked here and saw the first blog reference The Pioneer Woman....ahhhh! I made the cinnamon rolls this Christmas and LOVED them. Thank you for the smile. To have hearts connected by Siestaville and now The Pioneer woman......:-)

ME TOO!!!!
My cooking has improved 100% since I got the PW Cookbook.
My husband even bought me brand new (really nice) cookware for Christmas and said to me, " You can't be the Pioneer Woman with the crap we have" ha ha ha!!!!
Love your blog (I'm new)

Ohmygoodness! I know, I love Pioneer Woman! Haven't tried those cinnamon rolls yet, but have been wanting to. She has a few variations on her rolls online as well.
I literally just made her chicken and dumplings soup yesterday and it was ridiculously delicious (and easy). She just knows comfort food and is entertaining when I read her recipes.

Her mashed potatoes are simply divine!! I love her breakfast dishes as well, and the cookbook itself is such a joy to look through.

You are the second blogger in 24 hours to post basically the exact same thing. :) I just put the cookbook on hold at the library (though I probably should just buy it) so I can prep for my hubby's return from Iraq next month.

My husband would like to add his signature when Toben writes the letter! The chili and Betsy's Pasta are favorites around here. When I saw your post this weekend about the cinnamon rolls I did take a peak- may be making those this weekend! A friend of mine said the cookbook was "Life-Changing" when she told me to buy it. So True!

You must also try the NOT so LOW fat Rosemary Potatoes and the Meatloaf. We are not meatloaf family but I figured anything wrapped in bacon had to be good and it will knock your socks off!!!!

Well, I can tell that continuing to read your blog is going to present a problem (but I will continue to do it). The other day, I wasn't going to buy "Radical." I thought, I don't need another book and I'm not ready to be radical. Today after reading this blog, I thought I don't need another cookbook. So then I promptly went to the bookstore and bought the cookbook and "Radical." Oh my. =)

Okay, you've convinced me, i need this book!

I don't have the cookbook, but I have tried several recipes from her blog. The Bacon Wrapped Jalapeno Thingies and Spanish Green Beans are wonderful!!! I am going to have to get Radical!

Started Radical this AM. I'm still pondering the first chapter. Wow! And I almost got the Pioneer Woman CB for Christmas (for myself). So, now I'm going to have to get it.
