Hello, Joanne! We've not had the pleasure of meeting in person (yet), but I've been following your progress for the past few weeks and have been praying for you. My Mom had a stroke 10 years ago... it was a pretty bad one, too, with a pretty grim prognosis... and she is doing so great now that you probably wouldn't even know that she had ever had the stroke unless someone told you! And, though it's a little funny to say, we've seen many blessings come from it. I know God is using your situation and one day you'll be able to look back and count all the blessings that have come from it. Praying that the pain you've been experiencing will subside. Have a good night!

Praying Psalm 139 over you tonight, Joanne.
1You have searched me, LORD,
and you know me.
2 You know when I sit and when I rise;
you perceive my thoughts from afar.
3 You discern my going out and my lying down;
you are familiar with all my ways.
4 Before a word is on my tongue
you, LORD, know it completely.

I think everything hurts more when we are alone. Joanne, you are not alone. Joanne, we are here for you, God is with you. I know it is not the same as being physically present with you, but we are with you.
Praying for your comfort and peace, courage and faith.

Joanne- stay strong. I think of you every day and pray for healing and less pain. You and you family are pretty amazing, but you and Toben demonstrated that to me years ago when you welcomed me as a friend at Whitworth and even made me dinner in you cool married people apartment. Please know this memories are special and reflective of just how loving and Christlike you and Toben are. Gid bless and know that you are all in my heart.

Joanne,
What a joy it is to see your posts! I am sure God is up to something BIG in your life and NOTHING about what you have been through will be wasted. I hate that you have pain. God, please deal with this. I am glad you have your family to support you through this. Fight hard for every day's victory! Listen to your mom. She is always the one who knows what's best. Your last word in this post, "HURTD," is the only one I think I understand. And it says a lot.
Father in heaven, Joanne has pain. Bear it for her. Give her a break in the pain, Lord. I pray that You would be actively creating her mind in the areas that have been hurt by the stroke. Take captive any defeating thoughts in her mind and heart and replace them with Your thoughts towards her. You love her. You are strong when she is weak. You have good plans for her...a future...full of hope. Lord, give her a time of blessed sleep each evening so that her body can restore and heal. Thank YOU for every thing You have done to bring her this far. Bless her journey and may we all keep her close to our heart and in our prayers. God bless those who are lacking support there at this facility. Stand in the gap for them, Lord. In Jesus Name. Amen.
Goodnight, Joanne!
Much love to you.

Hey sweet girl!
I love love love to have you blogging on here! I want you to know that you don't "know" me....but I've followed your story from a prayer request orginating on the Beth Moore blog. I have been on my face for you dear sister in Christ! Our family went through a similar struggle last summer when my father-in-law suffered a stroke.
Just wanting you to know how loved you are...we are thinking of you every day...praying for you always...and checking on you often!
Love you girl!

I saw the yummy apple pie that your sister baked for you. I might not have bothered with the fork after not having any pie for such a long time! You are so polite. I hope you keep getting proper food from home because no matter what, the hospital diet is yuck and you deserve YUM. Tell them, you need more yum in your life and apple pie for breakfast sounds like a reasonable start to the day to me :)
I hope you are now sweetly dreaming.
Good night.

I am so inspired by your families devotion to you and their willingness to be completely dependent on the Lord. I have no doubt that the Lord is using you, your situation, and your family for His Glory. Lives are being changed for His kingdom.
I hope that brings you comfort.
Sweet dreams.

Hey Joanne and family,
We have been praying since I "ran across" your blog in January. My husband has you on his daily prayer journal, as well.
We have been down this path you are on with our sister-in-love. It's a journey that you are sharing with all of us here in blogland, too. Just know that you are being prayed over in NC as well.
So, sooo good to see you blogging!
Love and hugs to you all,

Morning Dear Lady!
I just wanted to jump in and say that I am sooo excited and happy to see you back on here and on Twitter! Everytime I see a new tweet from you, I squeal just a little. The people at work love it, let me tell you! ;) Well they really DO love it because I tell them that you're tweeting or posting on here and they get excited too! I've shared what you're going through with them and they've all been praying and asking about you practically every day! You're such an encouragement and blessing to everyone who hears your story. God is constantly amazing me with all He's doing through you, your family and this whole situation!
I pray you continue to improve and feel better! May each night's rest be better than the day before!
Praying for you and yours!
Love you dear Joanne!

Joanne, know you're thrilled to get to be blogging again! Don't know you personally, but have been following your blog since January. Got to hear Toben on the radio yesterday! You're so blessed to have him for your husband! I pray for you every day when I'm praying for my daughter in law, Courtney. Courtney is your age and is battling a brain tumor. So glad our God is bigger than strokes and brain tumors! May you continue to improve and to God be the Glory! He is using you in a mighty way!

I was so pleased to read on Twitter that your pain subsided enough for you to get some sleep last night, Joanne. Please know that God loves you and is for you; we love you and are for you. I'm so sad for you in this current season, but I'm so glad God has used it to strengthen the faith and prayer lives of so many people. You don't know me, but I'd love to help you in any way I can. For now, I'll continue to pray in Kansas.

Hi Joanne!
We have never met personally but I did a radio interview with Toben and Ryan back in late fall. I found your blog back then because Toben raved about it :) and thus began my Joanne "blog envy". :) You are a talented lady! It is amazing and wonderful to know you are blogging again.
We pray for you all the time and are thrilled beyond words at your progress.
It looks like you're in pain as you write your latest entry - and even though I can't decipher exactly what you are saying, God knows so I'll be praying He brings you comfort and relief.
You are amazing.
Blessings from WA State,

Praying for total healing for you. I am amazed daily at your progress and the power of prayer. I was born and raised Catholic and always considered myself a "good Catholic", but when I think about it I didn't really believe in the power of prayer. I would half heartedly pray for things and never really saw any kind of response -nothing tangible. I am sorry to have to say that. I have followed you through your blog and your books for a few years now and was so sad and horrified the day I saw the post you had your stroke. I went to our church and prayed for you and was amazed at how everyone got together and prayed. It was something tangible. I felt it and saw the direct result. God is amazing and prayers were answered. You will heal. You are a warrior and you will fight through all of this. Your progress has been a miracle. That is the only explanation I have for it. Thank you so much for letting us into your lives in such a personal way. It has meant more to me than I will ever be able to express. We are praying for you
