A post from Joanne:
Every time I read Hinds Feet on High Places I wonder about my own companions on the journey. Now I know who they are. And I am glad to know their names.
I talk to them throughout the day, in the middle of the night, "Come on boys. It's time to go to work!"
Toben talks to them too. They have become very real to us, though they don't talk back yet, except to say, "Watch out! Don't trip on that cat!"
Joanne
Yes indeed...they are God's angels sent to aid you, friend. I am so proud of you for doing this very hard thing and not throwing away your confidence. He is doing the work, friend. You need only be still and stay in the yoke. Love you!!

The verse that tittle is based on got me through my months of physical therapy after my stroke! Stand firm :0) I'm praying that your AFO does its job and is comfortable for you. I often just have to stop and say "Thank you, God" on the days I'm most frustrated with my walking because at least I can walk with my AFO. Keep your smile on!

lol Sometimes I like to walk with "unaware" and "clueless" for less stress in my life, but I dont think they were mentioned in that book...
and have you thought about changing the name of your blog? A "simple wife" doesnt seem to fit you anymore lol and I mean that in a good way :)
yay recovery mode! Wishing you healthy happy days to come!

One of my fav books of all time! Understanding that God makes our pain purposeful is one of the mysteries of our Christian walk. "Perfected through the things He suffered" (Hebrews) is a verse to meditate on for life!
Precious sister, your voice here brings us joy!

Praying for you. I have a friend who, at 50 suffered a stroke, and doesn't know the Lord. Physically, he and you are very much in the same place. But, because of Christ, you are already healed while my friend suffers.

Hi Joanne - so wonderful to have a post from you here again! LOVE that book (I also bought and read it on your recommendation), and have been wondering for awhile if you had read it lately, as I know you reread the books you love. What an amazing parable. Keep up the good, hard work! You continue to be an inspiration - a living, breathing miracle. Love, Pam

I have not heard of that book - but you are right, God's angels do watch out for us, and interact with us, more than we realise at times.
Continuing to pray for you and your left side :)
