Toben got a call the other day from Dr. Kim's office saying that we needed to move the achilles surgery date from December 5 to November 15. Basically I am a "high risk" patient and cannot undergo surgery in a "surgical clinic" but I have to go to a "surgical hospital." So that meant a date change.
Happy news: Christy is coming to visit again tomorrow and this time she is bringing her daughter Savanna. The high tomorrow is supposed to be 32 degrees and we may get up to 6 inches of snow. I texted both of them to tell them not to wear shorts and flip flops ont he airplane. It's yucky to come out of the Denver airport into snow when you are wearing summer clothes. We don't have any big plans for their time here I'm hoping for some good fires int he fireplace and hours in my big chair in the living room just hanging out and talking.
I went back to OT today for the first time in months. It was mostly to touch base and to identify further areas that we need to work on. I'll be going back three times in the next few weeks before surgery.

Good Luck! I say I am glad they are getting the show on the road so you can recover sooner. I know it is scary, however you have already gone through the worst of all of this and this is a step to get your step back!!! Hang in there. Prayers continued, we love you and we are pulling for you! Not a day goes by that one of us doesn't say "come on Joanne". XOXOXOX Lisa and my Schubert clan. ;0)FAITH, HOPE,and LOVE!

Joanne,
I will be praying for you. I am kind of glad to hear of your move up date. Only because when I saw the initial date I thought of how close that was to Christmas. Maybe with the move up you will be feeling much better by Christmas, and will be able to enjoy the festivities better. You and the family are continually in my prayer. Keep up the good work. You are such an inspiration to all of us!

I was thinking the same as Crystal. :)
I am so glad Christy is coming for a visit! Yeah! Wish it was me.
BTW-It is already so cold here the Buttercup the Cow's water is frozen in the mornings when I go out to milk. Maybe I will just be milking ice cream soon!!!
Miss you so!

Hi Joanne-I'll be praying for you and added your surgery date to my calendar. We'll pray for strength and resolve, peace and comfort as you recover. I hope you have been able to enjoy the beauty of fall. I've thought about you alot this Autumn-knowing how much you love the season.
Enjoy this snowy day. We've just stayed inside in our jammies being cozy today. Have a great visit with Christi. I'm sure the girls will love being with their friend, too. Love ya! Paula Romer

Hi Joanne, I've been keeping track of how you are progressing. Good luck with the surgery in a couple of weeks and have fun with your friends. I'm sure I read that Denver already has a lot of snow - enjoy!

Just sitting and talking to someone you love is one of the best things in the world. Will keep your surgery date in mind to send up prayers from now throughout that day.
