Currently 3:33 a.m. Audrey and I just happened to be up and she was staving so we set out to find her some food. Not surprisingly, not much is open at 3 in the morning...except 7-11. So we got some instant mac and cheese, some crackers and a can of iced tea. Rang up at about $3. Came home and cooked up the mac and cheese in the microwave and Audrey added blue food coloring. She is into blue food lately (I have no Earthly idea why). So now she's eating and I am sitting here on her bed. I am not begrudging the loss of sleep. I am actually rejoicing that Audrey and I could share these late night moments. Feels like we are making a memory...blue mac and cheese and all!

I love this!

Great stuff. You help me loosen up my notions of what a parent is supposed to be, to flow with my 14 year old. Thanks for sharing!

I can't remember the last time I ate instant mac! I also had no idea that 7-11 was open that late because I've only been to 1 in my whole life.
