We will be back home a week from today. After looking at the forecasts and seeing that Colorado snow is just about over, we decided last Sunday that we will leave Casa Grande on the morning of April 18. We will drive to Albuquerque and spend the night before continuing the rest of the way home on Tuesday.
These six weeks here at Palm Creek have gone by so quickly. I'd be quite happy to stay a bit longer, but am sure I'll be glad to be home when we arrive.
Our time at Palm Creek this year has been better than our time here last year. For one, Dad can eat and talk since he is not wired shut from his broken jaw playing pickle ball last year. I am much more mobile this year and feel more comfortable being out and about. The weather has been warmer this year and we have spent more time at the pool. I've been in the water this year too and it's felt great! We have met so many more people this year too. Mom has made friends in the wood shop as she's learned bowl turning and Dad and I joined the shuffleboard club and met a bunch of people there as we have played almost every morning for a couple of hours--usually with different people each day. Because we rented a house here this year, we have had lots more space and have met our neighbors and shared meals and games with them
For the next few days, we will relax and soak up more sunshine and warmth to last until it warms up more at home. While we hear spring has sprung, it will still be months before it is as nice there as it is here now.
I have missed my friends at the Rocky Mountain Stroke Center and my weekly art group, so I am anxious to get back to my routine there. It's been six or seven weeks since my last haircut, so I am really looking forward to my appointment a couple of days after we get home!
Dad is working hard to find a house for us to rent next year since we love it here and want to come back in 2017 for certain.
Have a great day, y'all! I will check in again when we get home!
Joanne
So thankful you have had this time AND you have seen progress since last year. You are defying everything that was told to you. I love how you keep going, my friend! I hope to come visit in June! We'll likely stay with my family, but I want to come spend a day with you. Will text, as we know more details! <3

I got a James Avery catalogue in the mail just now and they are featuring charms..."Joanne" was my first thought! I love your bracelet and all it represents. I hope you have many more experiences to add to it.

As a sign of gratitude for how my husband was saved from stroke , i decided to reach out to those still suffering from this.
My husband was diagnosed of stroke and it was really tough and heartbreaking for me because he was my all and the symptoms were terrible, he had difficult speaking , and he always complain of muscle weakness and balance disorder . we tried various therapies prescribed by our neurologist but none could cure him. I searched for a cure and i saw a testimony by someone who was cured and so many other with similar body problem, and he left the contact of the doctor who had the cure to stroke . I never imagine stroke has a cure not until i contacted him and he assured me my husband will be fine. I got the herbal medication he recommended and my husband used it and in one months he was fully okay even up till this moment he is so full of life. stroke has a cure and it is a herbal cure contact the doctor for more info on [email protected] on how to get the medication. Thanks for reading my testimony
