Good morning, friends!
I thought I'd say a quick hello and check in to see how everyone is doing. I see from Facebook that many of you are reading and doing puzzles and taking walks to get outside--all of the things we're doing here too.
As of today our neighborhood has closed and/or cancelled most activities, both indoors and outside. The community center has been closed for almost a week and the pools, sports courts and even the golf course are closing today. We have books and movies, as well as a couple of 1,000-piece puzzles, so boredom hasn't hit too badly. The weather has been sunny and mild, so I sit out in the sun as much as possible. I do need to get out and walk more, especially since I have not been going to walk on the treadmill. The physical therapy gym has remained open, but I have decided to stay home.
Like so many, I am grateful for the technology that has allowed me to "go" to virtual church, something that feels pretty normal me, since I attend my church in Denver (Mission Hills Church) online every week. We are super fortunate that there is so much great teaching available online--so many churches have sermons on their websites and through their free apps and podcasts.I have always enjoyed listening to sermons while I walk on the treadmill.
How are you doing and what are you up to today? I'd love to know!
Just another day-laundry, farm book work, trying to keep my steps up, checking on my kids, cooking, remembering God knows all about this and we can lean on him! Hope you have a great day!

Well I will have the most organized clean house you have ever seen. LOL I live in the KCMO area and we are on lock down until April 24.
I do try to go walk on an outdoor track most days if not raining. I am used to going to a gym every day. I will be catching up on reading and cooking from my freezer and pantry. Trying to do a new recipe every day.
So glad you posted it is always nice to hear from you. You are always in my prayers.
Take care and wash those hands!

Hi! We are doing okay. My two school aged kids have their regularly scheduled spring break this week. We've been doing our best to get out in the fresh air, but stay away from others, at the same time. There are TONS of ideas online of what to do with your kids while being quarantined, so also trying to make sure we do some of those things. Next week we will return to doing school remotely. My Sister goes to Mission Hills! She's been going for 1-2 years. I went for the first time about a month ago because my nieces were getting baptized. I LOVED it! I live in Colorado Springs and have my own Church here, but if I lived closer, I'd definitely go to Mission Hills.
Always good to hear what you are up to. Glad you have some things on hand to help during this time when we are somewhat limited in our options.

My husband is at home because he's a teacher and since I work for an electric utility I'm considered essential and working. For the most part our family is healthy and happy and we are trying to make the best of it. Our parents are in the compromised group so we're doing whatever we can do to help them stay home and stay safe. I think the social aspect is what they are missing the most (aren't we all) and so we are trying to video chat more, etc. Exercise is definitely something that is lacking these days because of the quarantine and we are also trying to get out and walk more. I'll be thinking of you and your parents and hope everyone stays healthy.

Thank you for the update. I like to know that you are safe.
My husband and I are retired. We have decided to stay home and only do pick-up grocery and pharmacy orders. So far so good. We have decided that if we get the virus it won't be for lack of trying to stay well.
I wrote 100 notes to nursing home residents. Our Fort Wayne Police Department is gathering them and delivering to nursing homes, rehab centers, etc.
Stay safe and keep in touch Joanne. May God bless you!

Hi Joanne!
I haven’t been here in a while, but my following of you goes way back. I think you were living in Denver then...your oldest daughter wanted to color her hair pink. You relented because you wanted “to pick your battles.” That was a loonngg time ago. I’m guessing your girls must be in their 20s now.
I retired about a year ago & moved to the Texas hill country. Many things have changed, but you & your fabulous charm bracelet came to mind the other day. I was glad to see a recent post! She’s still there...yay!
I’m still here, too...looking forward to catching up on you & your pursuits.
